Revising and Editing
When you write, it is important to revise and edit your work as necessary.
Revise
To revise your writing is to make changes that will make it clearer and more interesting to read.
Always reread what you have written. Ask yourself questions.
Do my ideas makesense in the way I organized them?
Do I have a variety of sentence structures and lengths?
Have I used strong words that are specific and descriptive?
Do I have a strong introduction and conclusion?
My Curious Kitten
My kitten looks into every little space she can find. She digs out whatever’s in there. It’s usually just dust or a bug. She seems to like it. She jumps up on top of the kitchen cabinets. She watches everything going on from up there. She walks across the railing at the top of the stairs, which is scary. Just like most cats, my new kitten wants to know about everything going on. She looks out the window for a long time, too. My new kitten stays up late into the night looking around for stuff.
